High flying scissor lifts that brought in a new world record score of 584 and one of our team members,Ethan L.,winning a coveted Embry-Riddle Scholarship,worth $20,000, and the lows of a tough game [...] [...] [ February 18,2012;] [caption id="attachment_3152" align="alignright" width="240" caption="Stop and smell the duct tape roses!"][/caption] TDT members had a busy Saturday meeting finalizing plans for the Florida FTC State Championship Feb. 18. It was totally an all-hands meeting,with everyone working on everything from drive practice with help from FTC team 5210,Mission imPossible,to tweaking mechanics and programs,[...] [...] Videographer Ryder is at it again with some great footage from our visit with mentor Paul Markun at Tampa Technik,and our day at the Seminole event a couple of weeks ago. Enjoy! [...] Team Duct Tape took home the Rockwell Collins Innovate Award at the Seminole High School Techtacular qualifying competition last Saturday. The award recognizes teams whose ”designs come to life”and have creative solutions to the game challenges ,an elegant design and a robost robot. We had all of that,but couldn’t quite get [...] [...] Team members’hard work and unified presence,on the field and off,earned them the Inspire Award at Middleton Madness this past weekend,and a spot at the FTC State Championship at Embry Riddle in Daytona in February! It was touch and go with the robot sometimes,in what is definitely a challenging game.
